Heat Transfer Oils

Description

PACIFIC THERMAFIC FG 500 is heat transfer fluid formulated for use in non-pressurized, liquid phase, closed heat transfer systems used in food processing or pharmaceutical operation with continuous bulk operating temperatures up to 325 °C. This thermally stable fluid is fortified with specially selected additives to provide outstanding protection from oxidative breakdown. Typical applications include central cooking facilities, drying, and edible oil deodorizing and heating of deep frying oils.

PACIFIC THERMAFIC FG 500 meets requirements of USDA HT1* 21 CFR. (Registered by NSF (Class HT1) for use where there is potential for incidental contact with food. These products meet the former guidelines (1998) of the US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS) for HT1 use (Heat Transfer Fluid with incidental food contact) and listed in Miscellaneous Publication No 1419 “List of Proprietary Substances and Nonfood Compounds”. Product contains only substances permitted under US 21 CFR 178.3570, 178.3620 and 182 for use in Heat Transfer Fluid with incidental food contact.)

  • Allows for clean operation and greater thermal transfer efficiency
  • Outstanding protection from oxidative breakdown
  • Ability to withstand higher operating temperatures, up to 325°C
  • Reduced oxidation and thermal degradation. Hence, longer life & lower operating cost
  • Minimal fouling and deposit formation on heat transfer surface. Hence it offers improved heat transfer
  • Low vapour pressure can help on top up costs while improving work place safety
  • Natural lubricity extends operational saving.
